Since 2008, National Girl Child Day started celebrating as an initiative by the Ministry of Women and Child Development and The Government of India.

To spread awareness about Gender Equality. From the birth of a girl child, nobody is interested to see her face; even people don’t want her to be alive. Yes we are in 2022 but still this is the reality of our nation. But the good thing is India has 1020 females per 1000 males, according to the latest round of National Family Health survey.

In our Indian Culture, we worship girl child because we believe that Goddess Durga resides in them.
